Founded in 1950, ITALFARAD SpA is an Italian company, which specialises in manufacturing electrical capacitors for A.C. general applications, such as lighting, motor run and Power Factor Correction. ITALFARAD also produces L.V. fixed and automatic P.F.C. equipment, switching the capacitors by electro mechanic components (contactors) or by static system (triac). ITALFARAD have succeeded in obtaining a share of the world market. At present they export to more than 90 Countries all over the world. Since January 2018 the low voltage power factor correction has been conferred to the sister company Ortea SpA in order to extended proposal of products and services for Power Quality and energy efficiency. In 1993, ITALFARAD was awarded a Quality System Certificate according to UNI EN ISO 9001 Standards, this certificate has been updated to UNI EN ISO 9001:2000.
